Our approach
Nowdex shows usage for AI agents on your Apple devices. It is designed so credentials and usage stay with you: on the device, and — if you turn sync on — in your iCloud. Nowdex does not run a backend that stores your passwords or usage totals.
Authentication credentials
Sign-in credentials (tokens and related secrets for Codex, Claude, Cursor, Grok, and Kimi) stay in the device Keychain. When iCloud sync is enabled, those credentials may also be stored in iCloud Keychain so they can arrive on your other devices. Nowdex does not store passwords or tokens on Nowdex servers.
iCloud sync
If you enable iCloud sync, Nowdex may sync connection metadata through your iCloud — for example which providers and accounts are linked, display names, and sync identity fields used to keep those links consistent across devices. That metadata travels via Apple’s iCloud for your account, not as a password store on a Nowdex server. Usage snapshots and conversation contents are not synced this way.
Usage information
The app fetches usage and quota directly from each provider’s APIs or interfaces, on your device, and displays the result locally (including in widgets). Nowdex does not report that usage to a Nowdex backend, and does not store it on Nowdex servers.
Device and diagnostic data
If diagnostics are enabled in a future release, they will be limited to technical information needed to improve reliability. Diagnostics will not include authentication credentials or the contents of your AI conversations.
Third-party services
Nowdex can connect to Codex, Claude, Cursor, Grok, and Kimi. Your use of those services remains subject to each vendor’s terms and privacy practices. Nowdex is an independent app and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by those vendors or their owners.
Changes
We may update this policy as Nowdex changes. The latest version and its effective date will always appear on this page.
