Private by design
Your Claude sign-in stays in the Keychain on your device, and in iCloud Keychain if you turn on sync. Usage is requested directly from Claude by your device. Nowdex has no account to create and keeps no passwords or usage on its own servers.
Questions
How does the Claude usage tracker get my usage?
You sign in to your Claude account in Nowdex once. Your device then asks Claude for your usage directly. Credentials stay in your Keychain, and there is no Nowdex account or server in between.
Does it track Claude Code usage?
Yes. Claude Code, claude.ai, and Claude Desktop share the same session and weekly limits, so the numbers in Nowdex cover all three. Claude Code tokens and cost are shown separately on the Usage tab.
When does the Claude usage limit reset?
The session limit resets every five hours, and the weekly limit at a fixed time each week set for your account. Nowdex shows the exact reset time for each.
Is it free?
Nowdex is free to download, and the free version connects one account, which is enough for Claude alone. Pro unlocks more accounts and services. The Windows app is free.
